You’ll never find a better day out than that of Alton Towers. And what’s best is that it has a little bit of something for everyone. Taking little kids?
They’ll be sure to love the smaller-scaled rollercoasters, turning teacups, and more. Taking teenagers?
They’ll be sure to love coasters such as Sonic Spinball, Wicker Man, and Thirteen all of which require you to be just 1.2 metres tall to ride.
And Mum and Dad, or older members of the family, can enjoy going on bigger thrill-seeking rides such as Oblivion, the world’s first vertical drop coaster, or The Smiler, the world’s first 14-looping rollercoaster.
But with so many rides to try, amazing stalls to try and win teddy bears, and tons of unique dining experiences such as the Rollercoaster Restaurant, making your way through the 550 acres of entertainment can be quite the challenge in one day.
Even if you opt to travel from sector to sector on the Skyride, ensuring you hit every ride in peak season can be a tough ask.
Plus, a day filled with this much fun can be pretty exhausting. So, having a hotel close by is probably the best course of action, especially if you’re travelling from further away.
