Puerto Rico is a holiday hot spot for a reason. With its tropical Caribbean climate, history and culture, and amazing food, it’s primed for plenty of visitors to soak up some rays, kick back, and relax in this beautiful corner of the world.

Naturally, that also makes it a hive of activity for holiday-goers, with thousands of people traveling to the island to enjoy all those amazing qualities that we just covered, and plenty more.

You’d imagine that this would be the perfect combination for a massive variety of all-inclusive hotels to pop up on the island.

And, you’d be right! Well… sort of. That’s what we’ll be covering in this guide.

Not only will we share with you some of the best hotels that you can find, but we’ll also share with you some important advice that you should keep in mind when looking for ‘all-inclusive’ hotels on this amazing island.

Important Note

So, let’s get the big asterisk out of the way before getting into the hotels themselves.

See, while Puerto Rico has a lot of really great resorts and hotels that will include pretty much everything that you could want while on holiday, from restaurants to water parks, those aren’t necessarily ‘all-inclusive’ in the same way that you might describe other hotels in Mexico or around the Caribbean.

1. Hilton Ponce Golf And Casino Resort

Starting us off with a hotel name that has become synonymous with luxury and lavish living while on holiday, we have this all-in-one golf and casino hotel resort that makes the most of both day and nightlife in Puerto Rico.

Hilton’s hotels have long been associated with high glamour and luxurious getaways from everyday life, and this resort in Ponce is no different.

The 27-hole golf course and casino with tons of games and slots make this the perfect getaway for a couple’s holiday.

However, the many pools and waterslides that you’ll find across the resort also mean that families can find plenty of entertainment too.

Plus, with the three different restaurants that you’ll be able to find on-site, pretty much every preference and palate will be covered here!

So, whether it’s just the two of you, or the little ones are coming along, this is a great place that should be high on your list!

2. Villa Montaña Beach Resort

As you can imagine, with a picturesque island like Puerto Rico, beaches are going to be a big part of any holiday that you have planned when coming here.

If you know that you’re going to be spending a lot of time on these sandy white shores on a sun lounger, you want a hotel with its little slice of these sunlit shores.

Well, that’s something that Villa Montaña delivers in spades. Here you get 3 miles of exclusive coast all to yourself and your fellow guests at this luxurious beach getaway.

It’s perfect for relaxing for adults, and for splashing in the warm waters or building sandcastles for kids.

Of course, a nice stretch of coastline isn’t the only thing that this hotel has to offer guests. The cottages and hotel bedrooms that you’ll be based in our furnished top to bottom in comfort and luxury.

The bed sheets are wrapped in Egyptian linen, the bathrooms are designed and furnished almost like miniature spa rooms, and the artwork that is on display in each room s both exquisite and makes the rooms feel a little cosier for guests.

All these little furnishings add up to an amazing accommodation package!

And, of course, there are on-site restaurants for you to check out and enjoy!

3. Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort

The Wyndham Grand Rio Mar resort combines the best of both luxurious resort stays with a beachside location, for a package that can please both go-getters and the folks that just want some fun in the sun.

You have plenty of activities that you can get up to at this hotel, from the on-site golf course and pool, to the casino games and slots, the on-site gym, and even a full spa experience.

And, of course, when you feel like doing a lot of nothing, there is always the beach, just a few steps away from the hotel building, that you can enjoy at your leisure.

Plus, the customer service from the staff is on another level.

You’re never far from someone that can help you out if you have an issue or query, letting you let go of any worries that you might have, and just focus on having a great time.

Heck, the hotel even has pet-friendly accommodations handy.

Just let the hotel know in advance if you plan to bring the family dog along with you, and you’ll be able to bring Fido along for a holiday that they won’t soon forget either!

4. Condado Ocean Club

Holidays with the kids are great. But sometimes, you want a getaway where you don’t have to worry about keeping them entertained non-stop. Something just for Mum and Dad, or just a couple’s retreat?

Well, fortunately, Puerto Rico has a ton of places like this too, with Condado being one of the best.

All the rooms, bedrooms for two, come with fully kitted-out amenities (including your one private balcony for each room), plenty of space to make yourselves comfortable, and amazing views to boot.

You’ll be able to wake up to a sea-front view every morning during your stay here!

And, of course, there are the wider amenities of the hotel to enjoy too. The infinity pool is perfect for both a relaxing swim and for sipping cocktails around it.

And with cabanas being open for hire in this resort, you can enjoy the privacy of this little slice of paradise with wine service all to yourselves.

And we haven’t even mentioned the amazing restaurants yet. With 4 to choose from, you’re spoiled between perfect tapas bites to enjoy with friends or a perfectly curated 5-star meal.

One to consider if you’re looking for a holiday destination without children there. Sorry kids, better luck next time!

5. Copamarina Beach Resort And Spa

Now, if you’re looking for a truly all-inclusive hotel and resort package, then you need to check out Copamarina Beach Resort. Compared to even many of the other hotels we’ve covered here, this one can’t be beaten!

No expense is spared on your bedrooms.

From the comfortable beds to the complimentary patio or terrace that every one of them gets, it’s very easy to just find yourself relaxing in these rooms, especially during the hottest parts of the day.

Outside your amazing rooms, there are a ton of water activities that you can get up to. Sure, there’s an excellent pool, but what about diving, sailing, water sports, and all the other activities you can do?

There’s plenty here to spend your days in the sun doing!

Plus, there are the spas here for you to help you enter a bliss-like relaxing state, as well as a quarter-mile stretch of premium beach to enjoy here too!

And, of course, all of this is included in the initial holiday package, so feel free to use these many facilities, and plenty more that we didn’t have the chance to cover, to your heart’s content!

6. El Conquistador Resort

What El Conquistador Resort lacks in immediate access to a beach, it more than makes up for in this culture and amazing amenities that you have access to.

The rooms and the room service that come with them are next to none, and with 24-hour access to reception, you feel taken care of, no matter what time of day it is.

However, we’re particularly big fans of the other things that you can get up to here. There is access to a private beach from the hotel (even if it does take a little travel), and the restaurants here are some of the best on the island.

Plus, this hotel also has a shuttle service that can take you from the hotel and into El Palmar. After all, why visit Puerto Rico, and not experience a little more of authentic Puerto Rico life and culture?

That being said, with so many things to try out and do, we wouldn’t fault someone for just spending their time at this amazing resort!

7. The Royal Sonesta San Juan

Finally, if you’re looking for a holiday that emphasizes enjoying the warm waters of the Caribbean, then you have to check out the Royal Sonesta San Juan Hotel, located in the neighbourhood of Carolina in Puerto Rico.

Outside the Jet-skiing, swimming and diving opportunities, being close to an international airport means that the hotel also provides a shuttle service between the airport and the resort (although it may not be included in a hotel package, so make sure to confirm with the hotel’s staff beforehand).

So you may not even need to worry about travel for you and your party!

Final Notes

So, you’ve got your options laid out in front of you, and a ton of all-inclusive and near all-inclusive holiday destinations on the island of Puerto Rico.
