9 luxury adults-only hotels in Lanzarote: the best in 2026

9 luxury adults-only hotels in Lanzarote: the best in 2026

Tripplo· Founder: Axel Hernborg

In short: We checked close to forty hotels and holiday properties on Lanzarote. Nine call themselves adults-only on their own websites and take no children – most from 16, two from 18 – and they are spread from Playa Blanca in the far south to Costa Teguise north of Arrecife, with one inland in the wine hills at La Asomada.

Lanzarote, the easternmost of the Canary Islands, is a land of black lava fields, white villages and low-rise resorts, and its adults-only hotels vary as much.

How we chose and ordered the hotels

We looked at close to forty hotels and holiday properties across Lanzarote, from Playa Blanca in the far south to Costa Teguise in the north-east, and kept to four- and five-star hotels. Farm stays, apartments and guest houses were set aside, however well they are rated. The nine below are ordered by guest score, so the order tells you how pleased guests have been rather than which setting will suit you; the area guide further down helps with that.

Every hotel had to state on its own website that it is adults-only. We used booking sites only to find the minimum age where the hotel's own pages did not give one. To qualify, a hotel had to accept no guests under 16 or have an explicit adults-only policy for the whole property. Hotels that only set an age limit of 12, 13 or 14, and adults-only zones inside family hotels, do not count.

Where to stay on Lanzarote

Puerto del Carmen on the south-east coast is a lively resort town a short drive from the airport, with restaurants and bars along the front. Lani's Suites de Luxe sits on the seafront on Avenida de las Playas, while La Isla y el Mar stands on a hillside above the Atlantic, about fifteen minutes on foot from Playa Chica and ten from the harbour.

Puerto Calero, a few kilometres further west, is a small marina village with a handful of restaurants by the water. Royal Marina Suites is a couple of minutes' walk from the boats, and the evenings are quiet.

La Asomada lies inland in the hills above Puerto Calero, on the edge of the wine country around La Geria, where vines grow in hollows dug into the volcanic ash. César Lanzarote, in a restored historic house, looks out across the island to the sea. You will want a car for beaches and restaurants.

Playa Blanca in the far south has two of the hotels: CalaLanzarote Suites, a short walk from Marina Rubicón, and Hipotels Natura Palace, on the seafront at Montaña Roja at the edge of town. The airport is about 30 km away, and the volcanic landscape of Timanfaya National Park is within easy reach by car.

Costa Teguise, north of Arrecife, has the two large beach resorts on the list. Radisson Blu has direct access to Playa Bastián, and Paradisus Salinas is an all-inclusive resort on the beachfront.

Playa del Cable, on the edge of Arrecife and close to the airport, has Villa VIK, a small hotel in a residential street 200 metres from a calm, sandy beach.

Hotels we reviewed but left out

  • Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa: adults-only from 18, but below our guest-score floor.
  • Barceló Teguise Beach, Boutique Hotel H10 White Suites (18+) and Elba Lanzarote Premium Suites (16+): sold as adults-only, but below our guest-score floor.
  • Barceló Playa Blanca Royal Level: an adults-only area inside a family hotel with a children's pool and a teen area.
  • H10 Rubicón and Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park: family resorts with children's programmes, where only part of the hotel is for adults.
  • MYND Yaiza: a family resort with a kids' club; only the spa is for adults.
  • Hotel Fariones: geared towards adult guests, but its own site says it welcomes families.
  • Casa de las Flores: a five-room townhouse that booking sites list as 16+, but its own website makes no adults-only statement.
  • Palacio Ico: a gastronomic boutique hotel that welcomes children older than 10.

Worth knowing before you book: several of Lanzarote's big resorts sell an adults-only level, pool or spa while the rest of the hotel is full of families. We list a hotel only when the whole property is for adults and it says so on its own website.
