Ferryscanner Discount Codes & Deals

Not a public one. Ferryscanner does not publish a discount code on its English site. Its terms say the platform gives access to the basic discounts offered by the ferry companies, and these appear in the search results while they run. For special discounts that are not available online, such as student or large family discounts, you can contact customer service by chat or book at the Ferryscanner office in Athens. The lasting savings are Ferryscanner Miles, the Best Price Guarantee and fee-free cancellation within the free cancellation period. If Ferryscanner publishes a code on its own site, we will add it here with the source and the date.

Ferryscanner Miles is a free loyalty programme for everyone with a Ferryscanner account. Log in before you book and you earn miles on every trip, on all ferry companies and routes, including add-ons. The miles are added once the last ferry of your booking has left port and they do not expire. At checkout you choose how many miles to use and the price drops straight away; miles can cover up to 90% of the total booking price. You can combine miles with other discounts that do not need a voucher at checkout, and with ferry companies' own loyalty schemes. Miles for cancelled trips are not credited, and miles cannot be moved between accounts.

If you find the same ticket cheaper on another website within 48 hours of booking on Ferryscanner, you can claim the difference back. It must be the same ferry company, route, date, departure time, ticket type and passenger and vehicle details. You send the claim by chat with your booking number and proof such as a timestamped screenshot or a link, and the lower price must still be bookable when Ferryscanner checks it. Fares from limited-time promotions, loyalty or membership discounts, coupon codes, package deals and prices that differ only because of exchange rates do not count. Ferryscanner replies within 72 hours, and approved refunds are paid within 12 business days.

Often, yes. During booking Ferryscanner shows the free cancellation period of your ticket, and if you cancel within that period no service fee applies. Whether you get the whole fare back depends on the ferry company: some tickets are only partly refundable or not refundable at all. You can cancel most bookings yourself in Manage My Booking, and refunds usually reach your card within 1 to 2 days. Many ferry companies also let you turn the booking into an open-dated ticket, usually valid for up to a year, but it can no longer be refunded once converted.

FLEXI is an optional paid add-on that gives you more freedom than the ferry company's own rules. With FLEXI you can cancel up to 48 hours before departure and get the full ticket price back, not counting service fees and extra packages, or you can change the trip and pay only any fare difference. FLEXI can be used once per booking, and the new trip after a FLEXI change cannot be refunded or changed again. The FLEXI fee itself is not refunded, except in cases of force majeure.

Ferryscanner charges a small service fee per ticket for a change of date or route, plus any fare difference; if the new fare is lower, the difference is not refunded. With an active FLEXI, the first change is free of that fee. Changes depend on availability and on the ferry company's own policy, and in Manage My Booking they are confirmed instantly.

Usually, yes, but each ferry company sets its own age limits and discounts. According to Ferryscanner, children often get between a quarter and a half off the standard ticket price, and infants with a zero-value ticket usually travel on an adult's lap without their own seat. Child discounts tend to apply to fares such as economy and may not be available for cabins or business class. Add an adult passenger first, then the child or infant, to see the child fare.
