In short: We checked more than forty hotels on Corfu and listed six. Each calls itself adults-only on its own website, and all but one, which gives no exact age, take no guests under 16. Two are on the north-east coast, two on the east coast south of Corfu Town and two on the west coast.
Corfu's adults-only hotels are spread along three stretches of coast.
On the green north-east, two sit above small bays with the mountains of Albania across the strait. South of Corfu Town, a resort with a long history at Moraitika and a small hillside hotel share the east coast, and in the west two resorts look out over the open Ionian Sea at Ermones and Agios Gordios.

1Nido, Mar-Bella Collection
Corfu, Greece
Why this rank: A compact hotel in the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection, on a green hillside at Agios Ioannis Peristeron, a short walk from its family-friendly sister hotel MarBella. Guests must be 16 or over, and the hotel opens only from April to October. Every suite looks over the Ionian Sea, some with a private pool or whirlpool, and guests praise the attentive, personal service, the breakfast, the spa and free outings such as boat trips. The beach area is the weak point.
2San Antonio Corfu Resort (Adults Only)
Corfu, Greece
Why this rank: Built into a hillside of olive groves directly above Kalami Beach on the north-east coast, this hotel calls itself adults-only on its own website without giving an exact age; children are not accepted. Every balcony looks over the bay, and there are two pools, a beach bar and suites with an outdoor hot tub. Guests single out the breakfast, the clean, well-designed rooms and the calm mood. Expect steps, and dinner draws less praise.
3Domes Miramare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Corfu - Adults Only
Corfu, Greece
Service & staff: 32 of 47 mentions positive · Food & restaurants: 22 of 32 mentions positive
Why this rank: An adults-only resort for guests aged 16 and over, as its own website states, on the shore at Moraitika south of Corfu Town. The Onassis family built it in the late 1960s; today it has four pools, among them a heated indoor pool, the Soma Spa, beachfront suites and three restaurants with sea views, and its residences come with Haute Living services such as a villa manager. The beach in front is pebbly rather than sandy.
4Atlantica Nissaki Beach - Adults Only
Corfu, Greece
Location: 26 of 31 mentions positive · Service & staff: 22 of 32 mentions positive
Why this rank: An all-inclusive hotel on the quiet north-east coast at Nissaki, which Atlantica's own site presents as a secluded adults-only escape; the minimum age is 16. Pebble coves lie directly below, there are swim-up suites and rooms with private pools, and the package covers three restaurants and bars, with the airport about twenty minutes away. The all-inclusive is plain, however: an à la carte dinner comes once per stay, and only from five nights.
5Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo Resort
Corfu, Greece
Service & staff: 19 of 19 mentions positive · Food & restaurants: 13 of 14 mentions positive
Why this rank: A large hillside resort above Ermones on the west coast that Atlantica lists among its adults-only hotels, aimed at couples aged 16 and over. A cable car runs down to the private beach area, cliffside suites have their own pools and the SensSpa has an indoor pool; guests also like the panoramic views and the tranquil atmosphere. The grounds are steep, and Corfu Town is a drive away.
6Ella Alkyna
Corfu, Greece
Location: 16 of 16 mentions positive · Service & staff: 9 of 11 mentions positive
Why this rank: An all-inclusive resort on the beach at Agios Gordios, on the south-west coast, that Ella Resorts describes as designed exclusively for adults; its English pages give 16 as the minimum age. It has three pools, one of them indoors, three restaurants, a spa with yoga and one-bedroom villas with their own pool. The two outdoor pools are seasonal, and Corfu Town is a fair drive away.

How we chose and ordered the hotels
We checked more than forty hotels, resorts and holiday properties on Corfu, from Acharavi in the north to Kavos at the southern tip. Six made the list, ordered by guest score. The score decides the order and nothing else, and we do not print it.
Six is a short list for an island of this size, and that is deliberate. Corfu has few hotels that are truly adults-only at this level. Many of the names that come up in a search are family resorts with an adults-only pool or restaurant, "adults friendly" hotels that take children from 12, adults-only hotels below our guest-score floor, or simple three-star properties. Rather than lower the bar to make the list longer, we stopped at six, and the list of hotels we left out, further down, shows why the others missed. Two of the six, San Antonio and Atlantica Nissaki Beach, are four-star; the other four are five-star.
Price played no part in the ranking. If you book through Hotels.com, signing in as a member can bring up lower rates on some rooms, and our page on saving with Hotels.com explains how those member prices and any current codes work.
Every hotel had to say on its own website that it is adults-only. Booking sites were used for one thing only: finding the minimum age where the hotel's own pages did not give one. San Antonio publishes no age, and the booking sites disagree, so we give none for it. To qualify, a hotel had to turn away guests under 16 or apply an explicit adults-only policy to the whole property. Hotels that only set an age limit of 12, 13 or 14, and adults-only areas inside family hotels, do not count.
Where to stay on Corfu: north-east, east or west?
The north-east coast has two of the hotels. San Antonio is set among olive groves directly above the beach at Kalami, and Atlantica Nissaki Beach stands over pebble coves at Nissaki, a little further south along the same shore. This is the greenest and quietest side of the island, with the Albanian mainland across the water. Nissaki is about twenty minutes from the airport and Kalami 29 km, and both hotels are built on steep ground, so expect steps.
The east coast south of Corfu Town has Nido at Agios Ioannis Peristeron and Domes Miramare at Moraitika, a short way further south. From Nido it is about 16 km to Corfu Town and 18 km to the airport. The beaches, however, are not the reason to stay here: the shore in front of Domes Miramare is pebbly, and at Nido guests rate the pools and the spa far above the beach area. Nido opens only from April to October.
The west coast has Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo on the hillside above Ermones, with a cable car down to its beach area, and Ella Alkyna right on the beach at Agios Gordios further south. This side faces the open sea and the sunset, but the ground is hilly and Corfu Town is a drive away.

Hotels we reviewed but left out
- Akrotiri Beach Resort & Spa at Paleokastritsa: it calls itself "adult friendly", but it offers family rooms and baby cots, so it is not adults-only.
- Rodostamo Hotel & Spa and Elite Corfu at Kommeno, and St. George's Bay Country Club & Spa at Acharavi: adults-friendly hotels that take children from 12.
- Alyssium Hotel Corfu: adults-only, but from 14.
- Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica and Kerkyra Blue Hotel & Spa: family hotels where only a pool or a dining area is kept for adults.
- Angsana Corfu Resort & Spa at Benitses: a family resort with a kids' club.
- Restia Suites Exclusive Resort: formerly adults-only, but by its own website it now welcomes families too.
- Mon Repos Palace in Corfu Town, Cook's Club Corfu at Gouvia, Mythos Palace Resort at Boukari and Paleokastritsa Palace: adults-only, but below our guest-score floor.
- La Maison Corfu at Ipsos and Corfu Mare Boutique Hotel in Corfu Town: adults-only from 16, but three-star hotels outside the luxury segment we cover.
- Ella Elyra at Pelekas: being relaunched as an adults-only resort, but below our guest-score floor for now.
The label to watch on Corfu is "adults friendly". Several hotels use it while still taking children from 12, so read the age policy before you book. We list only hotels that keep the whole property for adults and say so themselves.
Domes Miramare and Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo also appear in our guide to adults-only hotels across Greece, which is the place to weigh Corfu against Crete, Rhodes or Santorini.
