How to pay less with Explorer Travel Insurance▼
  1. Buy online. Explorer says its best prices are always online; phone if you need help, but compare the online quote.
  2. Insure your party on one policy. Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Cruise and Winter Sports policies include discounts for couple and family policies.
  3. Think annual if you travel often. Explorer says an Annual Multi Trip policy could save you money if you travel more than twice a year. Online annual policies cover trips of up to 31 days each.
  4. Pick the right destination area. WW1 leaves out the USA, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico; choose WW2 only if your trip goes there.
  5. Choose the cancellation level that fits. The quote form lets you pick at least £750, £1,500, £2,500, £5,000 or £10,000 per person, per trip.
How we assess Explorer Travel Insurance offers▼

Official offer means the benefit is published on explorerinsurance.co.uk and we read its conditions there on the date shown next to each one. Explorer publishes no discount code or discount percentage, so we list its stated savings and standard features instead. This page is not insurance advice; read the policy wording before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an Explorer Travel Insurance discount code?▼

No. On 31 October 2026 explorerinsurance.co.uk did not publish a discount or promo code, and its FAQ does not mention one. The savings Explorer itself names are discounts for couple and family policies on its Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Cruise and Winter Sports cover, and its statement that its best prices are always online. The site does not say how large the couple and family discounts are; you see the price in your quote. You can also join Explorer Perks by email to hear about special offers first. If Explorer publishes a real code on its own site, we will add it here with the source and date.

Does Explorer sell worldwide travel insurance?▼

Yes. When you get a quote you choose a destination area. Explorer has two worldwide areas: WW1 covers anywhere in the world except the United States of America, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico, and WW2 covers anywhere in the world. There are also areas for the UK, four European bands (EU1 to EU4) and Australia and New Zealand. The country lists are in the policy wording and next to the destination menu on the quote page.

Is there an upper age limit?▼

Not on Single Trip policies: Explorer says it can cover customers of any age on a single trip. Annual policies have a maximum age of 79, Backpacker policies are for people aged 35 and under, and winter sports cover on a Single Trip policy is available up to and including 65.

Does Explorer cover pre-existing medical conditions?▼

Explorer says it can cover a wide range of pre-existing medical conditions. You tick a box on the quote form if you want them covered; if you leave it unticked, the quote does not cover any medical conditions of the people insured. For questions you can call Explorer on 0345 373 0253. The quote page also points to the British Insurance Brokers' Association directory for travellers with serious pre-existing conditions.

Who can buy Explorer Travel Insurance?▼

Only UK residents. Everyone on the policy must live in and be registered with a doctor in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, and the trip must start and end there. A trip that has already begun when you buy the policy is not covered. You can buy cover for travel on the same day.

How does Tripplo check these offers?▼

We read every benefit on this page on explorerinsurance.co.uk on the date shown and noted the conditions. Explorer publishes no discount code, so the rows below are the savings and policy features it states on its own site. We do not publish codes without a source.
