Wingly is a flight-sharing platform: private pilots post sightseeing flights, short trips and one-way journeys in light aircraft, microlights and helicopters, and you book a seat and share the direct costs of the flight. Alongside these cost-shared flights, Wingly Pro lists commercial flights run by certified operators. In the UK you can fly from places such as London, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Leeds, Liverpool, Newquay and Portsmouth. Wingly accepts discount codes at checkout, one per booking, but it does not publish a public code on its own site. What you can count on are its booking terms: cancel a cost-shared flight up to 24 hours before departure and you get the full amount back as Wingly credit, a free supplementary insurance on cost-shared flights and gift cards that can be extended. How to get the most from a Wingly booking▼
- Compare flights from your nearest airfield. Prices are set per flight, so the same landmark can cost less from a different departure point.
- Book cost-shared flights with some slack. Weather often decides; if your pilot cancels more than 48 hours ahead, add dates or another airport so Wingly can find a replacement pilot.
- Cancel in time. Up to 24 hours before a cost-shared flight you get the full amount back as credit; Wingly Pro flights cannot be cancelled once confirmed.
- Extend your gift card. It is valid for one year and can be extended by six months, again and again, within its validity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a Wingly discount code?▼
Not a public one. Wingly's own help centre explains that you enter a discount code or gift card code at checkout and that only one discount code can be used per booking, but the site does not publish any code. When we checked on 31 October 2026, the Black Friday 2026 page said the offers are coming back to Wingly soon, without naming a discount yet. If Wingly publishes a code on its own site, we will add it here with its source and date.
How much does a Wingly flight cost?▼
Each pilot sets the price of a flight. For a cost-shared flight, the price covers your share of the direct costs, such as fuel, aircraft rental and landing fees, plus VAT and Wingly's service fee; the pilot may not make a profit and pays the same share as the passengers, or more. On 31 October 2026 the flights featured on Wingly's English homepage started from £91.67 per person. You pay online when you book, and Wingly holds the money until the flight takes place.
Can I cancel a Wingly flight?▼
It depends on the type of flight. A cost-shared flight with a private pilot can be cancelled up to 24 hours before departure, and the full amount comes back as a Wingly gift card for a future booking rather than as cash. If the pilot cancels, for example because of the weather, Wingly first tries to find another pilot when the flight is cancelled more than 48 hours ahead; if that fails, you also get the full amount as a gift card. Wingly Pro flights cannot be cancelled by the passenger once the operator has confirmed the booking.
Are flight-sharing flights legal in the UK?▼
Wingly says cost-shared flights are legal in the UK under CAA rules and guidance (CAP 1590): up to six people on board including the pilot, only direct costs shared equally and no profit for the pilot. Since 1 October 2025, passengers have to complete a CAA Passenger Declaration before departure. Pilots on Wingly must upload their licence and medical certificate before they can advertise flights.
Can I get a refund on a Wingly gift card?▼
No. Wingly gift cards are non-refundable. They are valid for one year from purchase and can be extended by another six months within the validity period, as many times as you like. Gift cards bought through external partners follow that partner's own rules.
