Tripplo· Founder: Axel Hernborg

In short: We checked more than fifty hotels on Ibiza. Eleven are adults-only according to their own or their hotel group's website and made the list: four calm seafront hotels around Santa Eulària des Riu, three in and around Ibiza Town, two near Sant Antoni and two on the north coast. The Standard, Ibiza is adults-only in the summer season only.

Ibiza's adults-only hotels follow the island's own divide.

The review analysis covers a sample of 264 reviews from 4 of the 11 hotels listed. Mentions are counted after automated classification of texts that may be shortened. Latest analysis in this selection: November 2026. How we count mentions.

How we chose and ordered the hotels

We checked more than fifty hotels, rural hotels and suite properties on Ibiza, from Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa to Sant Antoni, Santa Eulària des Riu and the north coast. Eleven made the list. They are ordered by guest score, from the highest down; the scores decide the order only, and we do not print them.

Many of the island's adults-only hotels are four-star, so four-star properties sit alongside the five-star ones. Booking sites were used only to look up a minimum age where a hotel publishes none; for these eleven, every age we give comes from the hotel's own website or that of its hotel group. Iberostar Selection Santa Eulalia gives no exact age, so we give none. The Standard, Ibiza is a special case: its own website says it is adults-only during the summer season, while families and children are welcome the rest of the year.

A hotel had to state on its own website that it is adults-only. It also had to be closed to guests under 16 or have an explicit adults-only policy for the whole property. Hotels that only set an age limit of 12, 13 or 14, and adults-only areas inside family hotels, do not count.

Where to stay: Santa Eulària, Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni or the north?

Santa Eulària des Riu and the east coast have four of the hotels. Catalonia Royal Ses Estaques sits on a small bay at the edge of town, five minutes' walk from the centre, and Meliá Ibiza is on the seafront 300 metres from the marina. Grupotel Santa Eulària & Spa is a few metres from the sea on the other side of town, a 10 to 20 minute walk from the centre, and Iberostar Selection Santa Eulalia lies a little further east at S'Argamassa, 1 km from Es Canar. This is the calmer side of the island; Ibiza Town is about 15 km away.

Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa have three. The Standard is in the centre of town, a short walk from the port, the cathedral and old town of Dalt Vila and the beach at Figueretes, and MiM Ibiza stands right by that beach. The Unexpected is on the long beach at Playa d'en Bossa, south of town, where the big clubs are. The airport is only a few kilometres away.

Sant Antoni and the west coast have two. Amàre Beach Hotel is on the water at Cala de Bou, across San Antonio Bay and about 4 km from Sant Antoni's bars and clubs, and TRS Ibiza Hotel sits by the coves of Cala Gració and Cala Gracioneta just outside town. This is the coast for sunsets; in high summer, however, it is also the busiest part of the island.

The north coast has two. Grupotel Ibiza Beach Resort is beside the beach in a quiet bay at Portinatx, and Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort is on the beach at Port de Sant Miquel. Both are far from the nightlife, and Portinatx is about 40 minutes by car from the airport, so a hire car makes it easier to see the rest of the island.

Hotels we reviewed but left out

  • Six Senses Ibiza, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay and ME Ibiza: luxury hotels, but with children's programmes, a kids' club or family pools.
  • Hacienda Na Xamena, 7Pines Resort Ibiza and Bless Ibiza: children are welcome.
  • OKU Ibiza, One Ibiza Suites and Sir Joan: an adults-only pool inside a hotel that takes children.
  • Aguas de Ibiza: a family hotel with a kids' club and a children's pool, where only the rooftop and the spa are for adults.
  • Destino Five Ibiza: welcomes guests of all ages; only its party areas are closed to under-18s on event days.
  • Ca Na Xica: a rural hotel that accepts children from 15.
  • Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel and Barceló Portinatx: adults-only, but below our guest-score floor.
  • Catalonia Ses Estaques, the standard sister of Catalonia Royal, and AluaSoul Ibiza: adults-only from 16, but outside the luxury segment we cover.
  • Can Partit and Sa Talaia: rural hotels sold as adults-only on booking sites, but we could not confirm it on their own websites.

A pattern worth knowing: many of Ibiza's big-name luxury hotels welcome families and keep a rooftop, a pool or a spa for adults only. We list a hotel only when the whole property is for adults and it says so on its own website.

Hotels.com lists several of the hotels in this guide, and our Hotels.com discount code page collects its current codes and member offers.

No. Its own website says it operates as an adults-only hotel during the summer season, and that families and children are welcome in the off-season. If a child-free stay matters to you, travel in summer or choose one of the other ten hotels, which are adults-only whenever they are open.

Santa Eulària des Riu on the east coast is the calm choice, with four of the hotels, a marina and restaurants on foot. The Unexpected stands on the beach at Playa d'en Bossa, Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort on the cove at Port de Sant Miquel, Grupotel Ibiza Beach Resort beside the beach at Portinatx, and TRS Ibiza Hotel has direct access to Cala Gració. Meliá Ibiza offers Thai treatments and an outdoor water circuit, TRS Ibiza Hotel the Zentropia spa, and MiM Ibiza a spa with a steam room and Finnish sauna.
