Luxury hotels on Naxos – 3 details you did not know

Naxos Cave Suites
Naxos, Greece
Affordable luxuryNaxos Cave Suites is a small, family-run hotel for travellers who value personal care over a long list of facilities… It sits in the quiet district of Stelida, 80 metres from the local beach, with a garden pool, a pool bar and suites that guests describe as spacious, spotless and beautifully kept. The family features in almost every review: guests mention being collected from the port, a stay that feels well organised and a Greek breakfast of homemade jams and freshly cooked dishes served on the sun terrace. The quiet location comes with a practical catch. Naxos Town and the port are 4 km away and the Blue Flag beach of Agios Prokopios 1.5 km, so a hire car, an ATV or taxis make the stay much easier. One guest also noted a shower without a door, and wind can make the terraces hard to use on blustery days. Couples looking for calm and attentive hosts will feel well looked after here.
Why this position
Highest guest score of the 16 hotels we rank here: 9.9 from 523 reviews. A lower star class than #3, but guests rate it higher (9.9 to 9.3).

Halcyon Suites and Villas Naxos
Naxos, Greece
ViewsHalcyon Suites and Villas Naxos is for travellers who want a quiet base with a view rather than a resort… The whitewashed villas and suites sit at Galanado, just outside Naxos Chora, in traditional Cycladic style with modern touches, and each has its own kitchen and terrace. Guests return to the same points again and again: the views, the space and cleanliness of the villas, the infinity pool and owners and staff who help with everything from dinner reservations to tips on the island. Breakfast arrives at the room with produce from the owners' farm. The trade-off is location. The old town and Portara are around 4 km away and there is no beach on site, so a car or taxi is part of most days, and the driveway up to the property is steep. For couples and small groups who value privacy and calm over walking distance, that is a fair exchange; anyone who wants tavernas on the doorstep will be happier in town.
Why this position
A 4-star hotel scoring 9.8 from 205 reviews: the guest verdict outweighs the star class. Sits behind #4 on both the score (9.8 to 9.9) and the sample it rests on (205 to 523 reviews).

Castle Mansions
Naxos, Greece
Castle Mansions is all about its location… The aparthotel sits in the Old Town of Naxos Chora, just above the port, with the castle 300 metres away, the Archaeological Museum a two-minute walk and Agios Georgios Beach seven minutes on foot. Review after review praises the setting: restaurants on the doorstep, views of the sea and balconies made for watching the sunset. Inside, guests describe distinctive, beautifully decorated rooms that are spotless and well stocked, with fresh towels every day and fruit and local tips on arrival. The central position has its trade-offs. Evenings in the Old Town can be lively, and one guest found it a little noisy at night. Breakfast is not offered, which one guest named as their only suggestion, and there is no pool, so a swim means a short walk to the beach. Couples who want to step straight out into the streets of Chora will find it an easy, comfortable base.
Why this position
A 4-star hotel scoring 9.8 from 172 reviews: the guest verdict outweighs the star class. Level with #5 on the guest score (9.8) and on the reviews behind it.

Archon Seaside Retreat
Naxos, Greece
Archon Seaside Retreat suits travellers who want beach days at Plaka without the bustle… The aparthotel sits in a quiet area about two minutes on foot from Plaka Beach, and every unit has a kitchenette and dining area, so it works as well for self-catering as for eating out. Guests return to the same points: the calm, the beautifully and cleverly designed villas, a pool area that is at its best at sunset, and a host and staff who go out of their way, whether with restaurant tips or a lost bag. The compromise is distance. Naxos Chora and the port are about 10 km away, so a hire car or a taxi is part of any trip to town, and the beach is a short walk rather than right outside. The pool is seasonal and unheated. For couples and families who plan to spend their days on the sand and their evenings quietly, that is an easy trade.
Why this position
Rests on more guest reviews than #6 (232 to 172), at a slightly lower score (9.7 to 9.8).

Majo Suites Hotel
Naxos, Greece
Spa & wellnessMajo Suites Hotel is a good fit for travellers who want the beach close by without staying right on the seafront… It sits one block back from Agia Anna Beach, about three minutes' walk away, with restaurants, bars, a supermarket and a bus stop all a few minutes from the door. Guests speak warmly about the family that runs it and its friendly staff, the clean, calmly decorated suites with comfortable beds, and a breakfast that exceeded their expectations. An outdoor pool, sun terrace, spa facilities and free parking round out the stay. The trade-offs are small but worth knowing. Being a block back means some suites have no sea view, the hotel is not on the sand itself, and one guest wished the bar area were larger. Couples and families who want a quiet, homely base near the beach will feel well looked after here; anyone who wants to wake up to the sea should ask carefully about the room.
Why this position
Level with #7 on the guest score (9.7) and on the reviews behind it.

Almi of Naxos
Naxos, Greece
Almi of Naxos is made for travellers who want a modern, self-catering base within walking distance of everything in Naxos Chora… It sits just outside the old town, so the ferry port, the castle and the tavernas are all a short walk away, and Agios Georgios Beach is about 14 minutes on foot. Guests speak warmly about the recently renovated units, which they describe as stylish and spotless, about the daily cleaning and about beds comfortable enough to mention. Kitchenettes, dining areas and family rooms make it practical for families, and one guest found it ideal with a toddler. The trade-offs are modest. The street outside is plain rather than picturesque, luggage has to be carried up the stairs, and one guest found the bedroom air conditioning noisy at night. Families and couples who value a clean, well-equipped apartment close to town will feel at home; travellers who want to wake up inside the old town's lanes should look further in.
Why this position
Rests on more guest reviews than #8 (253 to 218), at a slightly lower score (9.4 to 9.7).

Virtu on the Hill
Naxos, Greece
Virtu on the Hill is for people who choose a hotel for the view… It sits high on the Stelida hillside, and from both pools and the terraces you look straight across the bay to Chora. The hotel is new, small and calm, the rooms are large and spotless, and guests speak warmly of a team that remembers names and helps plan days out. Breakfast, served with that same view, is a highlight. The position has a price. The hill catches the meltemi, so some days are too breezy to linger by the pool, and in spring and autumn the sun disappears behind the slope early. Kleftonisia beach is a short walk down, but Chora is a drive away, the access road is steep and parking is tight, so a hire car makes life easier. If you want peace, space and a view to come back to, it works well; if you want to stroll out to dinner, stay in town.
Why this position
Scores higher than #9 (9.6 to 9.4), on a smaller body of reviews (143 to 253).

Kouros Art Hotel - Designed for Adults
Naxos, Greece
Adults onlyKouros Art Hotel - Designed for Adults is a small, adults-only hotel for travellers who want quiet days and an unhurried morning… It sits at the foot of a small hill at Stelida, 350 metres from Stelida Beach and 1 km from Agios Prokopios Beach, in an area guests describe as calm and away from traffic yet close to Naxos Chora and the port. The homemade breakfast is what guests mention first, followed by the staff and the clean, stylish rooms with Coco-mat bedding and balconies. The trade-offs are modest. The pool is smaller than the photos suggest, so the hotel works better as a base for beach days than as a pool resort, and the quiet surroundings mean that evenings out usually involve a taxi or a hire car. A few guests also met small maintenance issues in their room. Couples who want a calm, well-kept hotel near the beaches will feel at home here.
Why this position
Sits behind #10 on both the score (9.2 to 9.6) and the sample it rests on (123 to 143 reviews).

Mariet Naxos Elegant Suites
Naxos, Greece
Mariet Naxos Elegant Suites is made for travellers who want Naxos Chora on their doorstep… It sits in a historic building in the old part of town, on a quiet lane a few minutes from the castle and the port, so evenings in the tavernas and early ferries are both easy on foot. Guests speak warmly about how clean and well designed the rooms are, about the kitchenettes and the harbour views, and about a hot tub and rooftop that feel like a private retreat in the middle of town. The trade-offs are those of a small old-town building. Ground-floor rooms lie close to the walkway, the spiral staircase needs care, and breakfast is simple rather than a buffet. Agios Georgios Beach is about eight minutes away, but there is no beach on the doorstep. Couples who want to explore the town will find a calm, characterful base; travellers who prefer a resort are better served elsewhere.
Why this position
Guests rate it above #11 (9.2 to 9.2) and on more reviews (255 to 123).

Acti Plaka Hotel
Naxos, Greece
BeachActi Plaka Hotel is for travellers who want the beach to be the whole point of the day… The aparthotel sits directly on Plaka Beach, at the quieter end of the bay, and guests talk above all about the location, the colour of the water and the view. The infinity pool and its sunbeds come a close second, and the hosts are praised for making guests feel welcome. With a kitchenette in each room and tavernas and grocery shops nearby, it also suits anyone who likes to look after themselves. The trade-offs are mostly about space and distance. One guest found the room small with little space to hang clothes, and one guest found the shower soaks the bathroom floor. Naxos Chora and the Portara are 8 km away, so trips to town need a car or a taxi. Couples who want sand, sea and calm will be happy here.
Why this position
Level with #12 on the guest score (9.2) and on the reviews behind it.

Majestique of Naxos luxury suites
Naxos, Greece
Majestique of Naxos luxury suites suits travellers who want to walk everywhere in Naxos Chora and still come back to a pool… The suites sit in a quieter part of town, two minutes from Agios Georgios Beach and a few minutes from the marina, and the pool and sun terrace on the roof are what guests remember most. They also praise rooms that are spotless and tastefully decorated, private jacuzzis in some suites and a host who greets guests on arrival. This is a small suite hotel rather than a full-service one, so check-in is private and staff are not on site all day, which one guest felt when the jacuzzi in their suite gave trouble. There is no lift, and storage in some suites is limited to an open wardrobe. Couples who want a clean, stylish base with the beach and the town on foot will be well looked after; anyone who needs a staffed front desk or step-free access should consider a larger hotel.
Why this position
Level with #13 on the guest score (9.2) and on the reviews behind it.

Liana Beach Hotel & Spa
Naxos, Greece
Liana Beach Hotel & Spa is a hotel for people who want the beach to be the centre of the day… It sits on the sand at Agios Prokopios, with sunbeds and umbrellas set aside for guests, an outdoor pool, and a spa with a hammam, sauna and treatments for slower afternoons. Guests most often praise the location, the friendly staff and the modern, clean rooms, and the breakfast and homemade coffee get warm mentions too. In the evening, bars, restaurants and small shops are within walking distance. The trade-offs are modest. The hotel is simple rather than lavish, the breakfast buffet could offer more choice, particularly for children, and on a long stay the half-board menu can feel repetitive. One guest also found the dinner restaurant too brightly lit. Couples, friends and families who want an easy, well-run base on the beach will feel at home here; anyone after seclusion should look elsewhere on the island.
Why this position
Sits behind #14 on both the score (9.0 to 9.2) and the sample it rests on (197 to 341 reviews).

Portara Seaside Luxury Suites
Naxos, Greece
Portara Seaside Luxury Suites is for travellers who want Naxos Chora and the sea on the same doorstep… The suites sit on the seafront within 150 metres of the port, yet guests describe them as tucked around a quiet corner, with the Portara in view and hot tubs on terraces facing the water. Each unit has its own kitchen and a terrace or balcony, and guests praise the cleanliness, the modern comfort and a host who makes arrivals easy. This is a small set of self-catering suites rather than a full-service hotel, so there is no pool, and one guest found the water in front unsuitable for swimming. Only some units face the sea, the outdoor space has no shelter on rainy days and the entrance can be windy. Couples and island-hoppers who want the ferry, the tavernas and the view within a few steps will be well placed; anyone after a resort day by a pool should look elsewhere.
Why this position
Guests rate it above #15 (9.0 to 9.0) and on more reviews (362 to 197).

How we chose these hotels
At our latest review (August 2026) the properties listed above were measured against the same standard: sustained guest scores on both Booking.com and Google (weighted by how many reviews sit behind them), five-star class or an equivalent premium level, a first-rate location, and facilities that set the hotel apart.
As a guideline we look for around 8.5 or higher on Booking.com, but no single number decides on its own. When the sources disagree, the broader evidence wins. Guest scores on this page update continuously, and the selection is re-reviewed at regular intervals. The full standard is described in how we choose hotels.
