Luxury hotels on Skiathos – 3 details you did not know

La Luna Hotel
Skiathos, Greece
Affordable luxuryLa Luna Hotel is a small, family-run aparthotel in Troulos, a few steps from Troulos Beach, and much of its character comes from the people who run it… Guests write again and again about the owner and his team, who go the extra mile, and some come back for a third stay. The sea view from the apartments and balconies is the other constant in reviews, together with spotless rooms and a buffet breakfast of local specialities, warm dishes and fresh pastries. The trade-offs are modest. One guest found the room slightly dated, though clean and comfortable, and the main pool is open only in season. Skiathos Town and its port are about 11 km away, so evenings in town mean a drive or a taxi. Couples and families who want a calm, personal base by the beach will feel well looked after; travellers who want bars and restaurants on the doorstep may prefer to stay in town.
Why this position
Highest guest score of the 9 hotels we rank here: 9.8 from 534 reviews. A lower star class than #3, but guests rate it higher (9.8 to 9.0).

Niso Skiathos
Skiathos, Greece
Peace and quietNiso Skiathos suits travellers who want to stay in Skiathos Town without the bustle of the waterfront… The port is about 600 metres away and Papadiamantis' House a five-minute walk, yet guests describe the hotel as quiet, and the centre and the bus station are only a few minutes on foot. What reviewers mention most is the staff: friendly, attentive and quick to help, from a warm welcome outside normal check-in hours to housekeeping that brings fresh towels every day. Rooms are modern, charming and spotlessly clean, with good beds and tea, coffee and water provided, and breakfast covers everything from continental to full English. There are a few things to weigh up. There is no pool, so a swim means a 14-minute walk to Plakes Beach or a trip to Megali Ammos. A small playground next door can be noisy at night, and one guest felt the room layout could be better. For a smart, central base with personal service, it is an easy choice.
Why this position
Among the three highest guest scores of the 9 hotels we rank here: 9.4 from 266 reviews. Sits behind #4 on both the score (9.4 to 9.8) and the sample it rests on (266 to 534 reviews).

La Piscine Art Hotel, Philian Hotels and Resorts
Skiathos, Greece
Adults onlyExcellently located in a peaceful area, just a 5-minute walk to the centre of Skiathos, this adults-only hotel offers an Olympic-sized swimming pool and free breakfast…
Why this position
Sits behind #5 on both the score (9.2 to 9.4) and the sample it rests on (228 to 266 reviews).

Forest Resort Suites Skiathos
Skiathos, Greece
ViewsForest Resort Suites Skiathos is for travellers who want space, calm and a view rather than a lively resort… The suites sit on a green hillside above Troulos, and guests keep coming back to the same things: sea views from generous balconies, rooms that are spotlessly clean and well kept, and a host whose welcome many describe as exceptional. Each suite has a kitchenette and a dining area, which works well for longer stays and for families who like to cook some of their own meals, and the large garden gives children room to play. The trade-off is the location. The property is up a hill, the road is dark at night and Skiathos Town is 9 km away, so guests strongly recommend a car, scooter or ATV. There is no pool, and Troulos Beach is about a 17-minute walk. Couples and families with their own wheels will find a peaceful base; anyone planning to rely on buses and walking should look closer to town.
Why this position
Guests on Booking rate it above #6 (9.3 to 9.2), but it has no Google rating yet, which the ranking weighs equally; #6 has 4.6.

Skiathos Thalassa Cape Hotel, Philian Hotels and Resorts
Skiathos, Greece
Skiathos Thalassa Cape Hotel, Philian Hotels and Resorts suits travellers who want the beach and the town within the same short stroll… The hotel stands just metres from Megali Ammos, the beach nearest to Skiathos Town, which is about 200 metres away, so restaurants, shops and grocery stores are an easy walk. Guests return again and again to the location and to the reception team, who arrange ferry transfers and laundry and look after late arrivals. Breakfast, the beach set-up and the clean, well-kept rooms are praised as well. The trade-offs are small but worth knowing. Sunbeds on the beach in front of the hotel cost extra, which surprised some guests, and the rooms are simple, with a shower, limited bathroom storage and, for one guest, a balcony without a divider. Couples and friends who want a beachfront base close to town will find it an easy choice; anyone after a spacious, resort-style room should look further afield.
Why this position
Sits behind #7 on both the score (9.2 to 9.3) and the sample it rests on (277 to 323 reviews).

Villa Karina
Skiathos, Greece
Villa Karina is a family-run place for travellers who want to spend their days on the beach and their evenings in a garden… It sits among greenery in Kolios, within 200 metres of the beaches of Kolios and Agia Paraskevi, with tavernas a few minutes' walk away. Guests talk most warmly about the welcoming hosts, the breakfast and the on-site bar, where morning coffee turns into evening cocktails. Rooms and apartments are praised for being clean and spacious, and some have a kitchenette for self-catering. The trade-offs are practical. There is no pool, the villa lies on a busy road without a pavement, and a few guests found parts of the accommodation simpler than the photos suggest. Couples and independent travellers who want a relaxed, homely base close to the sand will feel at ease here; anyone who wants a pool and resort facilities should look elsewhere.
Why this position
Sits behind #8 on both the score (9.0 to 9.2) and the sample it rests on (263 to 277 reviews).

How we chose these hotels
At our latest review (August 2026) the properties listed above were measured against the same standard: sustained guest scores on both Booking.com and Google (weighted by how many reviews sit behind them), five-star class or an equivalent premium level, a genuinely first-rate location, and facilities that set the hotel apart.
As a guideline we look for around 8.5 or higher on Booking.com, but no single number decides on its own. When the sources disagree, the broader evidence wins. Guest scores on this page update continuously, and the selection is re-reviewed at regular intervals. The full standard is described in how we choose hotels.
