5% off when you pay for more than one journey together

Airport Taxis takes 5% off all the bookings in your basket when you pay for more than one journey at the same time. The company calls it the Return Booking Discount, but it is not limited to a return trip: any two or more journeys paid together qualify. The discount is applied automatically, so you do not need a code.

Postpone instead of cancelling: no admin fee and credit for up to a year

If your trip moves, you can postpone your Airport Taxis booking instead of cancelling it. Postponing costs no administration fee, and the full value of the booking is kept as credit for up to a year from the original date of travel. The credit can be used for any passenger, vehicle size or route; if the new journey is longer or needs a bigger vehicle, you pay the difference. Contact the office before the journey starts, for example by replying to your confirmation email. However, once a driver has been dispatched, postponement is no longer possible.

60 minutes of free waiting from the time your flight actually lands

Airport Taxis tracks your flight and sends the driver for the time it actually lands, with no extra fee if it is delayed. Waiting is free for 60 minutes from touchdown, which covers passport control and baggage reclaim. After that, waiting is charged by the hour, pro rata. If you know you will need longer, you can ask for a deferred pickup, for example 90 or 120 minutes after landing, and waiting charges only start after that time. But if you get through quicker than planned, you may have to wait in the terminal until the driver arrives.

Fixed fares per vehicle with tolls included and no surge pricing

Airport Taxis quotes a fixed fare at booking, and that is the price you pay, whatever the traffic or delays on the way. Fares are per vehicle rather than per person and include bridge and tunnel tolls, so a group sharing one car or minibus splits a single price. The company says it never adds surge pricing or traffic surcharges. The exception is the Christmas and New Year periods listed in its terms, when a 50% surcharge applies.

Business account: 28-day credit terms and one monthly VAT invoice

Companies that book airport transfers for staff or clients can open a corporate account with Airport Taxis. The corporate page lists fixed business rates, one consolidated and itemised VAT invoice each month instead of separate receipts, and 28-day credit terms as standard. According to the homepage, the monthly invoicing or direct debit facility is subject to credit references. You open an account by contacting the company.

About Airport Taxis

Airport Taxis is the trading name of Onward Travel Solutions Ltd, a private hire firm based in Cheddar, Somerset, that has run pre-booked taxi transfers to and from UK airports since 2006. You get an instant quote on airporttaxis-uk.co.uk by entering the start and end of your journey, and the fare is fixed per vehicle, with cars and people carriers up to an 8 seater minibus. Airport Taxis does not publish a discount code on its site, however. The one promotion in its Promotional Terms is a 5% return booking discount, taken off automatically when you pay for more than one journey at the same time. The other savings come from the booking terms: flight tracking with 60 minutes of free waiting after your plane actually lands, fares that include bridge and tunnel tolls, and the option to postpone a booking without the cancellation fee and keep the full fare as credit for up to a year. Below you will find each benefit with its conditions and the date we checked it on airporttaxis-uk.co.uk.

How to pay less with Airport Taxis▼
  1. Quote both legs together. Put the outbound and the return journey in the basket and pay for them at the same time, and 5% comes off all of them automatically.
  2. Pick the right vehicle size. Fares are per vehicle, not per person, so check the Vehicle Calculator on airporttaxis-uk.co.uk to choose the smallest vehicle that fits your passengers and suitcases.
  3. Book a flight-tracked pickup, not a set time. The 60 minutes of free waiting run from the actual landing time, so a late flight costs nothing extra.
  4. Postpone rather than cancel. Postponing keeps the full fare as credit for up to a year, while a cancellation costs an administration charge.
  5. Avoid the holiday surcharge. Journeys over the Christmas and New Year evenings and days listed in the terms cost 50% more.
How we check the Airport Taxis offers▼

Official offer means the benefit is stated on airporttaxis-uk.co.uk and that we read its conditions there on the date shown with each row. We publish discount codes only exactly as Airport Taxis writes them, with the end date the company gives. Offers without an end date are checked again on our next review of the page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an Airport Taxis discount code?▼

Not a public one. We found no discount code anywhere on airporttaxis-uk.co.uk, and the site has no newsletter, loyalty scheme or student offer that would hand one out. The only promotion in its Promotional Terms is the return booking discount: 5% off every booking in your basket when you pay for more than one journey at the same time, applied automatically. Beyond that, the fare you are quoted is the fare you pay. If Airport Taxis publishes a code on its own site, we will add it here with its source and date.

How does the Airport Taxis return booking discount work?▼

Airport Taxis calls it the Return Booking Discount, and sometimes the Multi Journey or Return Journey discount. When more than one journey is paid for at the same time, 5% comes off all the bookings in your basket. You do not need a code: it is applied automatically as soon as more than one journey is in the basket. So if you need a taxi to the airport and another one home, quoting and paying for both together is cheaper than booking them separately.

Can I cancel an Airport Taxis booking and get my money back?▼

Yes, with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled pickup. Airport Taxis then refunds your card but keeps an administration charge of £7 or 10% of the fare, whichever is higher. Cancellations have to be sent by email, and you get an email back confirming them; if no confirmation arrives, the terms ask you to call. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if nobody turns up for a prepaid journey, there is no refund. If your trip is only moving to a later date, postponing the booking is the cheaper choice, because it costs no fee and keeps the full fare as credit.

What happens if my flight is delayed?▼

Airport Taxis tracks your flight and sends the driver for the time it actually lands, so a delay does not cost you anything extra. The 60 minutes of free waiting start when the plane touches down, not at the scheduled arrival time. Only after those 60 minutes does an hourly waiting charge apply, worked out pro rata. If your flight is cancelled instead, the company asks you to contact its office as soon as you can; postponing the booking keeps the fare as credit for up to a year.

Does Airport Taxis charge more at Christmas and New Year?▼

Yes. According to the terms on airporttaxis-uk.co.uk, journeys from 18:00 on 24 December to 23:59 on 26 December, and from 18:00 on 31 December to 23:59 on 1 January, carry a 50% surcharge on the published prices. The terms add that other days may also be affected. If your dates are flexible, travelling outside those windows avoids the surcharge.

Is Meet and Greet included in the fare?▼

No. With Meet and Greet, the driver parks and waits for you in the arrivals hall with a name board, but Airport Taxis says it is not included as standard and costs an additional fee to cover parking. Without it, the Journey Details email that you receive once a driver is assigned tells you where to meet and gives the driver's phone number.

Can a business open an account with Airport Taxis?▼

Yes. On its corporate page, Airport Taxis offers business accounts with fixed business rates, one consolidated VAT invoice each month and 28-day credit terms as standard. The homepage says the monthly invoicing or direct debit facility is subject to credit references. To open an account, you contact the company through airporttaxis-uk.co.uk.

How does Tripplo check the Airport Taxis offers?▼

We read every offer on this page on airporttaxis-uk.co.uk, the brand's own site, on the date shown with each row, together with its terms, the Q&A page and the company's own articles on cancelling and waiting time. We only publish codes that Airport Taxis shows itself, and we add an end date when the company states one. An offer that Airport Taxis removes, or that ends, disappears here too.
