Boe Luxury Hotel
Saranda, Albania
Best overallBoe Luxury Hotel in Sarandë offers direct beachfront access with VIP Beach less than 1 km away. Guests can relax on the sandy shores and enjoy stunning sea views…
Why this position
Highest guest score of the 15 hotels we rank here: 9.9 from 402 reviews. Leads the ranking: a higher guest score than #2 (9.9 to 9.5).

Avanel Signature
Saranda, Albania
BeachAvanel Signature suits travellers who want everything new and finished to a high standard… Guests describe interiors that feel luxurious, rooms that are spacious and spotless, and balconies with a sea view that many single out. The staff earn steady praise for being attentive and professional from the first email onwards, and breakfast, with local specialities, warm dishes and fresh fruit, is a regular highlight. A saltwater pool and a private beach area keep the days close to the hotel. The beach is where opinions split. In summer the shoreline gets busy, and some guests found the beach club weaker than the rest of the stay. A few also felt the price was high for what they got. The hotel sits on Rruga Butrinti, south of the town centre, so evenings on the promenade mean a taxi or a longer walk. Couples who want comfort and calm near the water will feel well looked after.
Why this position
Sits behind #2 on both the score (9.2 to 9.5) and the sample it rests on (179 to 1,085 reviews).

Hotel Teuta
Saranda, Albania
Affordable luxuryHotel Teuta wins guests over with its people… Reviewers describe being welcomed with a cold drink, handed bottled water each time they head out or come back, and helped by a reception team that is friendly and quick to assist. The hotel is brand new, so rooms feel modern, clean and comfortable, and many have balconies facing the sea. Breakfast gets some of the warmest words of all, with a continental buffet that guests praise again and again. The location asks a little more of you. Teuta sits on a hillside street above the coast, and several guests mention the steep road back up from Maestral Beach, about a five-minute walk away. Drivers may find the narrow approach streets fiddly, though parking on site is free. There is a hot tub but no swimming pool. Travellers who want genuine hospitality and do not mind the climb will feel very much at home here.
Why this position
A 4-star hotel scoring 9.8 from 1,620 reviews: the guest verdict outweighs the star class. A lower star class than #3, but guests rate it higher (9.8 to 9.2).

Andon Lapa Hotel & Spa
Saranda, Albania
Spa & wellnessOffering an outdoor pool and views of the sea, Andon Lapa Hotel & Spa is situated in Sarandë in the Vlorë County Region. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and a private beach area. Free private parking…
Why this position
Guests on Booking rate it above #5 (9.0 to 8.7), but #5 leads on Google (4.4 to 4.2), which the ranking weighs equally.

Buzë Boutique Hotel
Saranda, Albania
Buzë Boutique Hotel in Sarandë offers a private beach area and direct beachfront access. Guests enjoy stunning sea views and a swimming pool with a view…
Why this position
Among the three highest guest scores of the 15 hotels we rank here: 9.7 from 449 reviews. Scores higher than #6 (9.7 to 9.0), on a smaller body of reviews (449 to 1,526).

Hotel Sole
Saranda, Albania
DesignHotel Sole feels less like a hotel than a home run by a family that clearly enjoys hosting… Guests talk about the owners' kindness and the personal attention they received, and almost every review mentions how clean and well kept the place is. Rooms are modern and well designed, the suites work well for families, and balconies look out over Saranda towards Corfu. Breakfast is rich and varied, with local specialities, warm dishes and pastries, and vegetarians are well catered for. As a smaller hotel, Sole keeps its facilities simple: a sun terrace, a bar, a coffee shop and an outdoor pool that opens only in season. It lies on Rruga Butrinti, south of the town centre, close to the beach and restaurants, with a small shop across the street, while the promenade and the ferry port are further off. For travellers who value a warm welcome over resort extras, it is an easy choice.
Why this position
Rests on more guest reviews than #7 (681 to 449), at a slightly lower score (9.6 to 9.7).

Litan Hotel
Saranda, Albania
Litan Hotel is run by a family, and that shapes almost everything guests say about it… Reviewers describe being made to feel like family from check-in, with an owner and staff who go out of their way for them, and one calls it a boutique hotel with a great atmosphere. Rooms are very clean and cleaned daily, beds are comfortable, and the sea-view rooms have balconies that catch the sunset. The restaurant serves Mediterranean and local dishes in a modern setting, and breakfast draws plenty of praise. What Litan does not offer is resort-style leisure. There is no swimming pool, facilities are limited to the restaurant, a terrace and a bar, and the airport shuttle costs extra. Free parking and a lift make arrival easy. If you want a personal stay with a view and hosts who look after you, it is a strong choice; anyone after pools and sun loungers should look elsewhere.
Why this position
Sits behind #8 on both the score (9.4 to 9.6) and the sample it rests on (642 to 681 reviews).

Hotel Vale
Saranda, Albania
Hotel Vale in Saranda is a 2-minute walk from Saranda City Beach, where guests can relax on the sand, and many rooms look out over the sea…
Why this position
Among the three highest guest scores of the 15 hotels we rank here: 9.7 from 513 reviews. Scores higher than #9 (9.7 to 9.4), on a smaller body of reviews (513 to 642).

Niklas Boutique Hotel
Saranda, Albania
Niklas Boutique Hotel suits travellers who want a calm, modern base in the middle of Saranda rather than a resort… The main beach is about six minutes away on foot, so the seafront promenade, its cafés and the town's restaurants are all within easy walking distance. Guests speak above all about the staff, who come across as unusually kind and accommodating, whether that means storing luggage safely or adapting breakfast to dietary needs. Rooms are new, spotless and comfortably sized, and breakfast ranges from continental and Italian to vegetarian and vegan. The central setting brings a few compromises. Not every room has much of a view, so ask for a sea-view family room with a balcony if that matters to you. Parking is free but tight on a one-way street, although staff help guests manage it, and the walk back from the beach involves stairs. For a well-run, friendly stay close to everything, it is an easy choice.
Why this position
Sits behind #10 on both the score (9.4 to 9.7) and the sample it rests on (279 to 513 reviews).

Demi Hotel
Saranda, Albania
Demi Hotel is for travellers who want Saranda's seafront right outside the door… It stands on Rruga Butrinti, just off the main promenade, with a private beach area where guests walk straight out of the hotel and onto the beach, and the town's restaurants and nightlife are all within easy reach. Guests repeatedly praise the location, the views from the balconies and how clean the rooms are. The hotel restaurant wins people over too; guests mention eating there more than once for the food and the setting, and breakfast is described as better than average. There are a few small catches. Shade at the sunbeds is limited, so a hat and an early start help on hot days. Showers can be on the small side, and in some rooms the plumbing is audible. Staff, on the other hand, are frequently singled out for their help. For a central, beach-first stay in Saranda, Demi Hotel makes a convincing case.
Why this position
Rests on more guest reviews than #11 (435 to 279), at a slightly lower score (9.3 to 9.4).

Sunset Suites
Saranda, Albania
Sunset Suites works best for travellers who want the sea a few steps away and a personal welcome… The family-run hotel stands by the water near Saranda's port, where the ferries leave for Corfu, so the beach, beach clubs, bars, restaurants and shops are all close at hand. Guests come back again and again to three things: the location, the size of the rooms, some of which have a separate living room, and breakfast served in the restaurant facing the beach. The owner is a big part of the stay, friendly and generous with tips for good local restaurants. This is a small, personal place rather than a full-service hotel, and the details show it. The beach chairs could do with an update, and one guest would have liked a little more variety at breakfast. Those who value space, a sea view and a host who knows the town will find a relaxed and likeable base here.
Why this position
The same guest score as #12 (9.3), on a smaller body of reviews (313 to 435).

LaFe Boutique Hotel
Saranda, Albania
LaFe Boutique Hotel in Sarandë offers 4-star comfort with air-conditioning, private bathrooms, and sea views. Each room includes a minibar, TV, and soundproofing for a relaxing stay…
Why this position
Sits behind #13 on both the score (9.1 to 9.3) and the sample it rests on (191 to 313 reviews).

Hilltop Heaven Hotel
Saranda, Albania
Hilltop Heaven Hotel is for travellers who would rather look down on Saranda than stay in the middle of it… Set on the hillside above the town, it gives its sea-facing rooms balconies with wide views over the bay, and guests single out the sunset as a highlight. The owners are the other reason people love it: they organise taxis, offer a taste of homemade raki and go out of their way to help. Rooms are large and comfortable, bathrooms are spacious and have a window, housekeeping comes every day and breakfast is consistently described as excellent. The hilltop position is also the trade-off. The road up is steep, and guests agree that a car makes life much easier; on foot, the centre is roughly 10 to 15 minutes away and the climb back takes some effort. Drivers, and walkers who don't mind a climb, get a peaceful, warmly run base with memorable views.
Why this position
Guests on Booking rate it above #14 (9.2 to 9.1), but it has no Google rating yet, which the ranking weighs equally; #14 has 4.4.

Areas drawn from our hotels' addresses and updated as the selection changes.
Port & Town Centre
Best for First-time visitorsThis central district wraps around the ferry terminal and harbor, offering direct access to the seaside promenade, seafood tavernas, and daily boat excursions. It is a lively hub well-suited for those relying on public transport or ferry connections to Corfu.
Rruga Butrinti
Best for Beach and resort staysStretching south along the coastline towards the ancient ruins of Butrint, this newer development features private beach clubs and modern holiday resorts. It provides a more relaxed, leisure-oriented setting with views across the Ionian Sea.
Areas to consider
Consider avoiding properties located high up the steep hillsides behind the main road if you have mobility issues, as the walks down to the waterfront involve navigating poorly lit, uneven paths and steep stairs.

How we chose these hotels
At our latest review (August 2026) we measured 8 luxury and premium properties for this destination against the same standard: sustained guest scores on both Booking.com and Google (weighted by how many reviews sit behind them), five-star class or an equivalent premium level, a first-rate location, and facilities that set the hotel apart. 7 made the cut and are listed above.
As a guideline we look for around 8.5 or higher on Booking.com, but no single number decides on its own. When the sources disagree, the broader evidence wins. Guest scores on this page update continuously, and the selection is re-reviewed at regular intervals. The full standard is described in how we choose hotels.
