Guests talk most about the location, the entertainment and the sense that there is always something to do, and they describe the staff as friendly and attentive. Rooms are called spacious and spotless, and the food wins praise, with the Turkish dishes mentioned in particular. That energy is also the trade-off. Businesses along the beach play loud music from early afternoon, and some daily activities are open only to guests aged 16 and over, which can frustrate families with younger teenagers. A few guests felt the drinks and some dishes could be better. Families who want a lively beach holiday with plenty laid on will be well looked after; couples after a quiet hideaway may prefer somewhere calmer.

The trade-offs are modest and mostly about cost and small details. Some guests felt the stay was expensive, and drinks and meals at the hotel cost more than in the town centre. Pool towels are collected from reception, and one guest found the hot breakfast dishes weaker than the rest. The eight restaurants are the other big draw: reviewers return again and again to the variety of food, and the staff, especially the waiters, are described as friendly and hard-working. The trade-offs are mostly about what happens after dinner and what costs extra. There is little to walk to around the hotel, the evening entertainment did not win everyone over, and the spa and hammam are charged separately. A more critical guest also found the room finishings and soundproofing below par. Couples and families who plan to spend their days between the beach, the pools and the restaurants will be well looked after; those who want nightlife on the doorstep should look closer to Alanya town.

Affordable luxuryNuma Port Hotel is for travellers who want Alanya on the doorstep rather than a resort to retreat into… It stands by the harbour, so the town and its restaurants are a short walk away, and guests praise the location more than anything else. The rooftop is the other draw: an infinity pool and a restaurant with views that guests describe as beautiful, alongside rooms that are repeatedly called very clean, modern and well designed, many with a sea-view balcony. The compromises come with the city setting. The pool is small, the gym is compact, and in some rooms music from the restaurant or noise from the pool carries into the late evening. The beach is a 9-minute walk away, not outside the door. Couples and city-breakers who plan to walk, eat out and return to a smart room and a rooftop swim will be well served; those after a long beach day and a large pool are better off in a resort.
