Spa & wellnessXO CAPE ARNNA Fethiye is aimed squarely at families who want everything within the resort… It lies less than 1 km from Çalış Beach, and guests like that it feels more like a small village than a big hotel block, with landscaped grounds, plenty of pools and an indoor pool for cooler days. Parents with young children call it ideal, praising the varied kids' activities, the family and interconnecting rooms and a buffet with plenty of choice. Guests on the all-inclusive package rate it highly, and the coffee shop and the cake and chocolate bar are small favourites. The weak spot is consistency of service. Several guests waited a long time for drinks or found the buffet terrace and evening bar staff less attentive than the rest of the team, and a few felt reception handled problems poorly. The immediate surroundings offer little, so the resort suits those who plan to stay put. Families who do will find a clean, spacious and well-equipped base.

The cabanas still feel brand new, and guests praise them as spotless and comfortable, along with friendly, professional staff and a designated host who looks after them. A spa with a sauna and steam room, five restaurants and an evening entertainment programme fill the days without leaving the bay. The seclusion is also the main trade-off. There is nothing to walk to, and early in the season fewer restaurants open in the evening, which leaves little choice. Several guests find food and drinks pricey, and as a new hotel it is still smoothing out some details. Couples and honeymooners who plan to stay put will find a peaceful base; those who want Fethiye's restaurants close at hand should stay nearer town.

Affordable luxuryÖlüdeniz Blu Luxury Unique Hotel - Adults-Only appeals to couples and adult travellers who want calm in the middle of busy Ölüdeniz… Guests call it a little oasis: quiet, upscale and spotless, with a beautifully designed interior and new, carefully chosen furnishings. Breakfast is the most praised part of a stay, with a wide choice every morning, and the friendly, helpful staff come a close second. Three pools, a sauna and a fitness centre round off the facilities, and guests who booked a room with a private pool describe it as magical. There are a few trade-offs. Ölüdeniz Beach is about a 15-minute walk away rather than on the doorstep, loungers around the pool can be reserved early by other guests, and one guest found the Wi-Fi very weak in their room. For a peaceful, well-kept base with a memorable breakfast, though, it delivers, and one guest was happy enough to come back for a second visit.

Guests speak most warmly about how clean and modern the recently refurbished rooms are, and about friendly, professional staff who go out of their way, from meeting room requests to looking after older guests. The breakfast also gets good words. The trade-offs are few but worth knowing. Two guests found the spa, with its Turkish bath and sauna, closed during their stay, and the walk into town can feel long in the summer heat. There is no beach at the hotel. Couples and older travellers who want spotless rooms and personal service near the marina will feel well looked after.

Guests speak most warmly about the staff, from reception to the restaurant, and about tasty food, clean rooms and a cosy, calm atmosphere that brings guests back for repeat stays. The trade-offs are mostly in the rooms. Some guests found the mattresses and shower cabins in need of renovation, and the Wi-Fi is weak. Shade is limited outdoors, and families with small children may find little going on in the evening. Couples and families who plan to spend their days on the beach or walking the Lycian Way will find a friendly, well-placed base; anyone who wants modern rooms should look elsewhere.
